Waste-IT holds the following licences issued by the Environmental Agency:
In compliance with our Waste Carriers Licence, Waste-IT issues a Waste Transfer Note for every collection. This will list the number of items collected with the relevant European Waste Category Code, thus providing a documented audit trail as and when needed.
As an Authorised Treatment Facility for WEEE Directive specified goods and products, Waste-IT is registered with the Environment Agency. In registering with the Environment Agency, Waste-IT satisfies the Environment Agencys' stringent criteria for hazardous and non-hazardous IT waste collection, storage and disposal.

Please note that all companies / organisations / educational facilities have a legal obligation to register with the Environment Agency for a Hazardous Waste Site Identification Code (SIC) if producing over 200kgs of hazardous waste per year (CRT Monitors, etc).
A single typical 17 inch CRT monitor can weigh up to 18kg so if you are disposing of 12 of those in a year - you will need a SIC.
You can register at www.environment-agency.gov.uk, where there is a charge of £18.00.
Alternatively Waste-IT can register on your behalf. To arrange this, please contact us (there is a £7 admin fee on top of the EA standard charge of £18).
