Secure Data Removal and Destruction of Hard Drives

Companies have a duty under the Data Protection Act (1998) to ensure that personal and company data does not fall into the public domain.

Your unwanted equipment could be recycled, redeployed, or resold. Whatever the solution, it is critical that all existing data and identification is removed from your storage media.

Waste-IT uses specialist data wiping software to ensure that ALL data is securely wiped from any hard drives or equipment up to the US Department of Defence DoD 5220.22-M level. This ensures that Waste-IT can assist public sector organisations such as Local Authorities, Local NHS Trust Hospitals, Schools, Police and Armed Services.

If the drives can not be data wiped or if the customer specifically states so, Waste-IT can also destroy hard drives by shredding them.

Certification and proof of data erasure and secure destruction can be provided on request.
